Early 1900’s, French advertising poster for “L’AMOUR” brand fancy soaps and fineries for all madame’s grooming needs. “Le Roi des Savons de Toilette” or “The King of Soaps for le Toilette”. All in French, it touts the virtues of these products; their wonderful, delicate texture and their exquisite and penetrating perfumes. Stamped with a seal “Replique Francaise” from Seine and an address in Paris in the bottom right corner. Fabulous cherub with wings, bow and quiver of arrows that is the perfect graphic for the L’AMOUR brand. Brown background with red and black type. Nice, newer frame. Condition is good for paper this old. Rippled, a few tiny holes, small rips but nothing that detracts from this wonderful piece of antique French advertising.
