So, so Sweet! An original 1920’s painting on canvas, based on the famous 1902 classic by French painter, Edouard Bisson, entitled “Spring’s First Flowers”. This antique was done by a highly skilled artist, down to every last detail of the original. Beautiful maiden with long curly hair in a flowing dress with a large nest hanging from ribbons around her neck. The nest is brimming with adorable, winged cherubs with one almost escaping to try out its wings which she has caught in one hand! Nest is made from branches of cherry blossoms in soft pinks. Subject matter is amazing! Cherub faces are the sweetest ever. Pale taupe, greenish golds, soft pinks. Her flowing dress is pale aqua and muted greens Signed by the artist, “Ola. N. Hurst”,35 ½” wide by 51” tall, 1 inch folded over on 3 sides with a 1 ½” wood slat weighting it along the bottom. Small half circle hole measuring ½” on one side of outside border.
